Home Church Scotland is one church with locations across Glasgow and Scotland. We are a growing, Bible-believing Christian family led by Senior Pastors Dave and Ela Brackenridge.

Our Story

Home Church Scotland is one church with locations across Glasgow and Scotland, including Maryhill, Kirkintilloch, Royston, Glasgow East End, Livingston, Kilmarnock, Skelmorlie and Lochaber. We were planted in 2019 by Dave and Ela Brackenridge, and what began with around twenty people has grown into a thriving church family of more than 1,000 people across twelve locations. Our vision is to plant healthy, life-giving churches throughout Scotland and beyond.

We believe that church is family. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have been a Christian for years, there is a place for you to belong, grow, and serve. As an evangelical church, we are committed to worship, biblical teaching, evangelism, discipleship, church planting, baptisms, and reaching communities across Scotland with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

Home Church Scotland is a Bible-believing, evangelical Christian church. We believe in one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Saviour of the world, and that salvation is a free gift of grace through faith in Him.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and life. We are committed to biblical teaching, worship, evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. Our heart is to see people of every generation encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out His calling in their daily lives.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man.

We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and future return. Jesus is the Son of God and the only way to the Father. Through His death and resurrection, He made it possible for us to be forgiven and restored to relationship with God.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and life.

We believe that Scripture is God-breathed and trustworthy in all it teaches. We are committed to teaching the Bible clearly and practically, helping people understand God's Word and apply it to their everyday lives.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a free gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ, restoring our relationship with God.

We cannot earn salvation through good works or effort. It is a gift from God, received by faith in what Jesus has done for us. When we turn to Jesus and put our trust in Him, we are forgiven, made new, and brought into a living relationship with God.

Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion for those who have put their faith in Jesus.

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality — a public declaration that you have decided to follow Jesus. It symbolises being buried with Christ and raised to new life. We regularly hold baptism services at our locations across Scotland.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live a godly life and equips them with spiritual gifts to serve the church.

The Holy Spirit lives in every follower of Jesus, giving strength, guidance, and power for daily life. We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the church and the advancement of God's kingdom.

Communion

We believe in regularly sharing communion (the Lord's Supper) to remember Jesus' sacrifice.

Communion is a time to reflect on what Jesus has done for us through His death on the cross. The bread and the cup are symbols of His body and blood, given for us. We share communion together as a church family to honour and remember His sacrifice.

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, build up believers, and share the gospel with the world.

The church is not a building — it is a family of people who follow Jesus together. We are committed to being a church that loves God wholeheartedly, loves people deeply, and reaches communities across Scotland and beyond with the good news of Jesus Christ.

National Senior Pastors

Dave and Ela Brackenridge are the National Senior Pastors of Home Church Scotland. Married for more than twenty-five years, they have dedicated their lives to serving Jesus together and are passionate about helping people encounter God, grow in their faith, and live out His calling.
