Darren Brown

My name is Darren and I, along with Aaron, am the youth leader of the church while our current youth pastor is off on maternity leave!

Other than the youth work, I am a carer for adults with learning difficulties and have been doing this for 5 years now. I also have a sore knee, but I like to keep that one quiet.

I have a few favourite verses. Isaiah 40:31, which was the verse read at my baptism by my best friend, which will always mean a lot to me. There is also 1 Peter 5:7, which reads: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”. A short verse, but also a very powerful one, and is just a reminder that when we are feeling low, and anxious about anything, that God is always there for us, and he loves us.

I fell in love with Home Church and it’s people immediately after stepping foot in it. I may be biased, but it is honestly the best place. Filled with the most amazing people who have such a love for God. There is such a good range of ages and they all blend well together. The Home Church family were exactly what I needed last year, and not a day goes by where I am not thankful to God for bringing them into my life!
